Completed Projects

This large detention pond in southern Mississippi was overwhelmed with dense trees, brush, trash, and nuisance vegetation. Our technicians removed all of these items, allowing the pond to function properly. It is now on a routine maintenance plan and the parking lot that drains to it no longer has flooding problems.

This detention pond near Houston, TX had severe erosion on its west slope. Topsoil was hauled in and the slope was regraded and compacted in the eroded areas. Once the correct elevation was achieved, the slope was then hydroseeded.

A hydraulic leak from a trash compactor at a retail store in Louisiana caused concern because it was leaking into the swale behind the store. Our technicians placed booms to contain the spill and prevent further runoff into the pond. Using a hot high power washer with a waste water recovery system, the oil and contaminants were lifted off of the pavement.

Technicians are seeding the slopes of a large retention pond in the San Antonio area. Hydroseeding prohibits the seed from moving, therefore allowing faster germination. These photos were taken just 2 months after seeding.

This sand filter bed in Austin, TX was no longer functioning properly so a full remediation was performed. The filter bed and adjacent area were pumped dry and the contaminated filter material was removed and hauled to an approved disposal site. Larger pvc pipes were installed to replace the smaller, incorrect pipes and new gravel screens were installed. The gabion rock beds were disassembled, cleaned, and then replaced. Proper geotextile material, gravel, filter fabric, and filter sand were also replaced.

Erosion has been slowly developing on the slopes of this detention pond in Arkansas. Erosion control mats were placed on the newly compacted topsoil to allow seed to germinate. A month later, the grass has already begun to fill in the repaired area on the slope.
